About this tea:

Tung ting blue tea comes from Taiwan and takes its name from the mountainous region where it is grown. Oolong tea (also known as blue tea) is a part fermented tea, and tung ting is regarded by those who know about this kind of thing (us included) as one of the finest around. We’re very proud to be able to offer a genuine oolong tea, as these teas are mostly sold to the local Taiwanese at hundreds of dollars – a bit more pricey than your average cuppa, but worth every penny.

Compare the large leaf in our tea temples to the dust in your regular tea bag; whole leaf is best.

Taste:

Oolong tea sits between green and black. This tea will deliver the strength of a black tea, with the aromatic, flowery flavours of a green tea. Green tea is for now, but tung ting will be the next big thing.

Good if you’re feeling:

A little blue. No, really. This is yoga for the mind, without the embarrassing leotard or spine-cracking back bends. Oolong, like green tea, is reputed to keep you skinny and young. Let’s hope it’s true.
